Salary Grade: $30-$32/hr

Overview of Position: Truck mechanics repair various types of trucks and diagnose issues to implement the proper solutions.
Summary of Duties:
• Schedule, Conduct, and Perform all preventative maintenance/repair services (PM services) to ensure the equipment operates safely.
• Conduct DOT Inspections, Suspension Repair and Replacement, Electrical Trouble Shooting, Heating and AC Unit Repair
• Monitor tire wear and pressure continuously throughout the fleet daily
• Operating forklifts, power and hand moving equipment
• Changing and rotating of tires
• Ability to serve and communicate effectively with customers.
• Replace parts as needed
• Diagnose malfunctions in defective equipment by inspecting and testing using devises
• Interact with customers and replace malfunctioning parts to return working operation to truck components
• Ability to handle various tools and heavy equipment.
Education and Work Experience/Requirement:
• Previous experience as a truck mechanic in an agricultural or factory-like setting is preferred.
• HS Diploma Required, Degree in Diesel Mechanics/Ag Technology Related Field is Preferred

Physical Requirements:
• This position requires exposure to all farm operations, as well as the maintenance/shop facility. Must be capable of lifting objects up to 50lbs regularly. Some physical demands of the job include lifting heavy objects, scooping, bending, twisting, turning, climbing, squatting, kneeling, and the ability to stand for extended periods of time. Weight of the objects may vary depending on the job task at hand. Physical fitness and stamina is also crucial in this job.
Working Conditions:
• Some travel may be required.
• Work environment required immediate response to spontaneous customer demands
• Hours of operation will vary based on the task at hand
• Occasional activities may take place within a farm setting that requires PPE.
